peninsula impact journey

For over a decade, Peninsula have been focusing part of our energy on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. Throughout our journey, we have achieved several notable milestones.

2014

We adopted an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) checklist to standardize our approach at the portfolio level, ensuring consistent integration of sustainability principles and responsible practices.

2017

Since the inception of PARE I, we have invested in the development of over 1,000 beds for the elderly in the US. This RE niche not only addresses the growing demand for senior housing but also fosters job opportunities for minorities, promoting social and economic inclusivity.

2020

More Panamá became the first among our LATAM projects to obtain EDGE certification, highlighting our dedication to resource-efficient and environmentally friendly construction practices.

2022

We carried out EDGE environmental standards self-assessments to verify our carbon footprint impact, which allowed us to define our containment/reduction strategy.

2010

In partnership with local developers, we have facilitated housing solutions for over 10,000 LATAM families as of Dec 2021, employing innovative strategies to promote sustainable and inclusive communities.

2016

We established the completion of Environmental, Social, and Impact Assessments (ESIAs) for all new portfolio investments in LATAM, underscoring our commitment to informed decision-making and responsible investment practices.

2019

More Buceo (Uruguay), a project developed in partnership with Altius, achieved the distinction of becoming our first development to receive LEED certification. This recognition exemplifies our commitment to sustainable and environmentally conscious design.

2021

We successfully conducted Social Return on Investment (SROI) assessments at the portfolio level, examining the impact generated by Paris Campestre (COL) and Macon Senior Housing (US). These assessments provide valuable insights into the social and economic benefits derived from our investments.
